We are excited that you are interested in dedicating your child to the Lord. The purpose of Parent/Child dedication is for parents to present their child before God and the church and commit to raising their child to know God and his ways, participate in the body of Christ, and see the good news of Jesus lived out in their lives. The church family, in return, commits to coming alongside parents in the effort to teach and model the way of Jesus to their child.
Upcoming Child Dedication: Sunday, December 8, 2024 (9:00 am or 10:30 am Gatherings)
Child Dedication Preparation Class: Sunday, December 1, 11:45-12:15 pm
We ask for parent(s) to attend a short child dedication class prior to the child dedication. This class covers what child dedication is and what it means to be a faith coach in your child's life.
Commitments & Expectations
During the dedication service, parents promise before God, their family, and the church to raise their children in a God-honoring way. Because parents are the key role models for their children, we ask that they commit to the following before dedicating their child:
- Parent(s) have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Parent(s) are regular attenders of CrossPoint Church Sunday gatherings and are following Christ in their own life.
- Parent(s) commit to modeling personal purity and to lead by example in matters of faith and conduct. This includes a current commitment to sexual purity for parent(s) who are not married.
